Do I need to be able to swim ?
With all watersports there is a basic level of fitness and swimming required before participating. Ideally you would be able to swim 50m comfortably and can tread water.
Do I need my own gear?
We have all the gear you need for riding, just bring a towel and swimsuit/shorts to wear under your wetsuit for Jetsurfing. All lessons include wetsuit, boots, buoyancy aid, paddle, helmet and board.
Do I need previous experience?
It does not matter if you are an experienced surfer who looks for a thrill during flat surf days, an experienced snowboarder who’s looking for a summer alternative to fix their need for adrenaline or a complete novice in watersports. Jetboarding, paddleboarding and MegaSuping are fun for everyone regardless of your previous experience! For every activity, even jetboard hire, there will be an instructor on hand to assist.
What are your payment options?
We take online payments for all lessons, if you're unsure about the process then please call or email us, we'd be happy to assist.
Will it be cold?
We will provide you with a good quality 5/3 wetsuit (free for jetboarding, additional cost for paddleboarding) to keep you warm and we also have boots available. We will start our season when the Solent water temperature is in double figures. However, if you are not sure, bring along a thermal rash vest or your own wetsuit if you have one.
What facilities do you have?
Our main teaching location has both male and female toilet facilities, and an outside shower. If we experience adverse weather we may need to use an alternative location which doesn't have facilities, we will notify you beforehand to let you know if we need to change location.
Will I be insured?
Yes, we have third party liability insurance for all of our customers.
Can I bring my own gear?
You're welcome to bring your own wetsuit, boots, buoyancy aid, helmet and paddleboard, if you're bringing your own Mako jetboard then please let us know in advance. .

Is jetboarding difficult?
Jetboarding is a fairly accessible extreme sport. Our aim is to get people attempting to stand on the board by the end of their 1st lesson, however, with the power these boards deliver, it is so much fun just riding on your belly or on your knees.
Is jetboarding dangerous?
Jetboarding is an extreme sport, but with the right tuition it's a safe and fun sport accessible to all. Our jetboards have a number of safety systems including an engine kill switch, from demoing multiple brands we feel the Mako Slignshot petrol jetboard has one of the safest designs on the market.
What is the best tide for paddleboarding and jetboarding?
Low and mid tides are best as the water is usually flatter than at high tide, although we are able to operate both jetboarding and paddleboarding at all tides. For more information on tides visit Lee-on-the-Solent tide times (30 days) (hampshire-tides.com)
